Reminder: Campus Phone Outage: March 25, 2023, 6 p.m. – March 26, 2023, 6 p.m
As a reminder, this weekend Information Technology Services (ITS) will be upgrading the Mitel MXOne PBX phone system to the latest software version in order to improve features, stability, and safety for the campus community.
During the upgrade window below, telephone services will have many interruptions and may not be available. The phone numbers affected are those that begin 858-246, 858-822, and 858-534, as well as any extension lines that begin with 5XXXX.
The upgrade work will be conducted on the following schedule:
Start time: 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023
Stop time: 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023
Emergency Contacts
During the outage use a mobile phone to call 911 during any emergency.

- The Facilities Management Watch Stander (858-967-2210) if you have a facilities issue, including if you need help from within an elevator. Signs with this information will be posted within elevators. If you have an emergency inside an elevator, use a mobile phone to call 911.
- Triton Transit (858-336-4604) if you experience any transit-related issues.

Call Forwarding For critical voice lines that would like calls forwarded to an off-campus number during the outage, please be sure to notify the ITS customer service team by calling 858-534-4277 or by sending an email to ITS-CustomerService@AD.UCSD.EDU.
Post-Outage Phone Resets (If Necessary)
While all changes are compatible with existing telephone equipment, we anticipate that in some cases you may need to reset one or all of the following three phone features:
