Yes, Private Chats will be copied. Messages within last 15 days will be copied exactly same as original.
Remaining messages will be to Archived
“Archive messages” will be merged, the complete thread looks like a single merged item
Addition Information:
- Chats are migrated in an unread state - every migrated chat will appear as unread in the target and target users will get notifications (desktop and mobile) – User can disable some notifications
- All chats are created by target service account and appear like group chats
- Service account adds itself to the chat at the beginning of the migration task
- Service account removes itself from the chat at the end of the migration task
